Ivy Cottage

Terri Gray is the owner and driving force behind The Ivy Cottage in Mobile, Alabama. Backed by an attentive staff and great location they became a Lucky Dog, what we call an Annieglass premier customer immediately after my first trunk show there. Watching Terri in action with a customer, doing displays, arranging flowers, or setting up for a party had me following her around like student, eager to learn from a master. “No wonder she has so many bridal registries”, I wondered.

I admit that I have copied her Annieglass displays for my own store and showrooms. She will boldly fill one of my sculptures with giant white hydrangeas, packing it tight in a pave style, letting the shape of the glass form the arrangement. Her color sense mixing and matching Annieglass with other vendors is eye popping.

I respect how smart Terri was with her website during the pandemic. She and her staff photographed all the items they had lingering on shelves in the backroom and sold them while their doors were closed. I applaud her resilience.

The store is lovely, smells divine, is full of fresh flowers, high quality home décor, comfy pajamas and a bed made up in sumptuous linens. I had to suppress my urge to dive into it, everything was so inviting. Instead, I bought the PJ’s, lotion, and a cashmere scarf. I think it is a wonderful formula for self -care. The Ivy Cottage has a gift for making customers feel relaxed and pampered.
